Namitha took birth on May 10, 1980 in Surat in the Gujarat province of India in a Gujrati 
business family. She is the only daughter in his family. Her father is businessman while her mother is a housewife. Although born in Gujarat she was brought up in Mumbai, the mecca of Indian film. She got a degree in English.
